Local Marketplace (Pty) Ltd (“Local Marketplace”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates https://localmarketplace.store, an online marketplace where independent vendors sell their products.

Each vendor is responsible for preparing and shipping their own orders. We work with trusted courier companies and delivery partners to ensure orders are delivered safely and on time.


2. Delivery Areas

  • Orders can currently be delivered within South Africa.

  • Some vendors may offer international shipping – this will be indicated on the product page.

  • Delivery is subject to the vendor’s ability to service your area.


3. Delivery Times

  • Delivery times vary depending on the vendor, product availability, and your location.

  • Standard delivery within South Africa is usually 2–7 business days after order confirmation.

  • Custom or made-to-order items may take longer. Estimated delivery times will be shown on the product page or communicated after purchase.

  • Please note: delivery times are estimates and cannot be guaranteed.


4. Delivery Costs

  • Delivery costs are calculated at checkout and depend on the vendor, product size/weight, and destination.

  • Certain products may qualify for free delivery, which will be indicated on the product page.


5. Order Tracking

  • Once your order is shipped, you will receive tracking details via email or SMS (where available).

  • Tracking links may redirect you to the courier’s website for real-time updates.


6. Failed Deliveries

  • If a delivery attempt is unsuccessful due to an incorrect address or unavailability of the recipient, the courier may reattempt delivery or contact you directly.

  • Additional charges may apply for re-delivery if the issue was due to incorrect information provided by the buyer.


7. Risk and Responsibility

  • Risk of loss or damage passes to the buyer once the order has been delivered to the specified address.

  • Vendors and couriers are responsible for ensuring that goods are properly packaged for safe delivery.


8. Delays and Force Majeure

  • We are not liable for delays caused by factors beyond our control (e.g. strikes, extreme weather, customs delays, load shedding).

  • In such cases, we will do our best to keep you informed and ensure delivery as soon as reasonably possible.
